How it works

Paste a Twitch VOD or Kick video link, or upload the file. YouTube links aren't supported yet, so upload those.
Find the moments
The clipper reads the transcript, listens for laughter and loud reactions, counts chat bursts and viewer clips, and has an AI model look over a low-resolution copy. Every pick says why it was chosen.
Fix what's wrong
The best picks arrive as draft vertical shorts. Open one, drag its edges past the AI's cut, delete words from the transcript, change the layout.
Export
A 9:16 or 16:9 MP4 with no watermark. Short clips render in your browser; longer ones render on our servers.
Who it's for
Streamers
You streamed for four hours and want three clips by tonight. Import the VOD, review the picks, fix the one that cut mid-sentence, export.
Clippers
You clip other creators' streams. Import their VODs, skim the picks with the reasons beside them, and spend your time on the edit instead of scrubbing.
What's in the editor today
A clip that picked the wrong second needs more than a trim, so vodformer comes with a real editor.
- A multi-track timeline: stack B-roll, picture-in-picture, music, sound effects and voiceover on their own tracks
- Trims that reach past the AI's cut, so a clip that started too late can start earlier
- Cut by transcript: delete the words, the video follows
- Word-level captions you can edit, in animated styles
- Layouts with facecam: cam on top of gameplay, cam full frame, or gameplay over a blurred copy of itself
- Facecam found automatically; move the box if it's wrong
- Stitch several moments into one video, with transitions
- Zoom and pan keyframes, text overlays and a chat overlay
- Unlink stream audio for J and L cuts; volume, mute and solo per track
- Undo, redo and autosave
- Export in the browser on desktop Chrome and Edge, or on our servers

What it doesn't do yet
- Import YouTube links. Upload the file instead.
- Post to TikTok, YouTube or Instagram for you. You download the MP4.
- Clip while you're live, or watch your channel for new VODs.
- Run on phones. It's a desktop web app.
- Pick perfectly. The clipper is new and misses some moments; that's why the editor matters.

What does vodformer do?
You give it a long stream recording. It finds the moments worth posting, explains each pick, drafts vertical shorts from the best ones, and opens any of them in a multi-track editor where you fix the cut, captions and layout before you export an MP4.
Which platforms does it work with?
Paste a Twitch VOD link or a Kick video link. For YouTube and everything else, upload the video file. YouTube links are not supported yet.
Is it for streamers or for clippers?
Both. Streamers use it on their own VODs. Clippers use it on the streams of creators they clip for. If you clip someone else’s stream, getting their permission is up to you.
Is vodformer free?
Yes, during the closed alpha. Each tester gets a daily processing allowance that resets at 00:00 UTC. Paid plans come later; when they do, they will be priced by hours of source video, never per clip.
How do I get in?
Join the waitlist. The alpha is invite only and small, so we invite people in batches and email you when there is a spot.
Do exported clips have a watermark?
No. vodformer never adds a watermark, on any plan.
Does vodformer post to TikTok or YouTube for me?
Not yet. You download an MP4 and post it yourself.
Which browsers does the editor support?
It is built and tested for desktop Chrome and Edge. Other browsers are not tested yet, and there is no mobile app.
